We are political activists in Floyd County, GA that are tired of being surveilled, beaten, and thrown around by Floyd County and its government. Motivated by the words that launched the American Revolution around 250 years ago this year, we are individuals reclaiming our sovereign autonomy to assert ourselves in the face of a world marked by government intolerance to privacy, self-security, and the beauty of the individual expression. Our motivations are pure, reasoned, and benevolent.
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

How Did We Start?
Originally started by a group of Republicans and Libertarians, we grew tired of constantly driving past the ominous black poles that infamously litter the Georgian landscape because of Flock Safety’s deal with state level politicians. After the Rome-Floyd Development Authority and Rome City Commissioners unveiled the (arguably illegal) Battey data center project using land that was originally purchased for job creation using SPLOST 2017 tax dollars, we realized that this movement had to organize if we wanted to see any improvement to our current situation. When government officials like former RFDA President David Spencer are rewarded for betraying their community, then it becomes clear that the voice of the citizen has been drowned out and must be better advocated for.1
In coordination with Banish Big Brother, a 501(c)(4) group dedicated to civic education around government surveillance, we joined their Watch the Watchers project where we would launch an assault of Open Records Act requests (ORAs) to track and publicize the information of county officials that are pro-Flock Safety and data centers. This website now serves as the repository for such information and it will only be removed if Floyd County Commissioners meet with our team and pledge to end all contracts and relationships with the company.
Spencer currently serves as Chief of Staff to Congressman Clay Fuller (R-GA14). He was principally responsible for the Battey data center project and then immediately left to Washington to leave us with the data center. ↩︎
